Kano State loses there Chief Justice, Shey Atiku

The former Kano State Chief Judge, Justice Shehu Atiku, is dead.

It was also said to have refused to bow to threats on his life as he diligently adjudicated on cases brought before the tribunal over which he presided

Justice Shehu Atiku’s death was confirmed by the spokesman of the Kano Judiciary, Baba Jibo Ibrahim.

The spokesman said in a statement he issued late Sunday night that the Chief Judge died following a brief illness.

The late Justice Atiku is expected to be buried on Monday morning around 11am at his residence.

Late Atiku was famously known for his role in the failed banks tribunal in which he was uncompromising despite various attempts to bribe him.
