The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has described the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti as a beacon of hope for not only the Yoruba race but for the entire country.
According to the Alaafin, it is not only rare but legendary that a 94-year-old is still beaming his searchlight for the progress and development of his people.
The revered Yoruba monarch stated this on Sunday evening when he visited the nonagenarian in his Akure home, the Ondo State capital.
Oba Adeyemi visited Pa Fasoranti to celebrate with him on the occasion of his 94th birthday.
The anniversary also featured the launch of his autobiography titled “My Life, My Legacy (Service with Integrity and Excellence).
Alaafin said “At that age, papa, as the leader of Afenifere, has remained purposeful in providing dynamic leadership for the Yoruba race in pursuit of the right direction to the Yoruba race. Papa has remained ageless in both physical and mental strength. It is my prayer that papa will remain young in energy for many years to come in good and sound health.
